Ethicon products subject of warning

A medical device alert has been issued by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) over silicon drain kits, cardio connectors, reservoirs and drain adapters manufactured by Ethicon. Healthcare trusts were first warned about problems with Blake and J-VAC models in March, but the MHRA fears the recall action has not been effective and that users may not have acted on the concerns over the potential for contamination of packaging.
